SimpliFire Electric Fireplaces

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Since the heater and flame features run separately, electricity usage can vary. When running both simultaneously, a general estimate is about 1,500 watts, costing roughly $0.08–$0.20 per hour depending on your local electricity rate. You can also set the fireplace to run in cycles to moderate your energy usage.

  • Standard SimpliFire models produce around 4,000–5,000 BTUs and can provide supplemental heat for rooms up to 400–500 square feet. They are certified as supplemental or decorative appliances and should not be used as a primary heat source for whole-home heating calculations.

  • No — SimpliFire electric fireplaces do not produce real flames or combustion byproducts, so there is no need for a chimney, vent, or gas line. This makes them easy to install in almost any room, and most models simply plug into a standard 120V household outlet.

  • Yes, SimpliFire fireplaces offer a high degree of customization. Depending on the model, you can choose from multiple flame colors, up to 14 ember bed lighting combinations, and adjustable flame heights. Newer models like the Inception even use proprietary DigitalSpark™ technology with multiple fire backdrops and built-in sound effects.

  • SimpliFire warrants its fireplaces to be free from defects in materials and workmanship, and coverage is transferable to a new owner within one year of the original purchase date. Importantly, the warranty only applies to fireplaces purchased through an authorized SimpliFire dealer or distributor. If a defect is found, HHT will at its option repair, replace, or refund the purchase price of the product.
