  • For a 240V installation, the SimpliFire 30-inch model (SF-BI30-EB) requires a framing width of 31-3/4", a depth of 11-5/8", and a framing height of 29-1/4" — which is 2 inches taller than the 120V requirement of 27-1/4". This extra height is needed because the 240V hardwire configuration requires a minimum 2-inch clearance above the top of the firebox, and the supplied stand-offs must be bent to a vertical position to maintain it. It's critical to confirm your wiring voltage before framing, as this cannot be adjusted after the wall is finished.

  • The SimpliFire 30-inch Built-In Electric Fireplace delivers 5,000 BTUs at 120V or 10,000 BTUs at 240V, depending on your chosen power input. At its maximum 240V output, it can function as a supplemental heat source for spaces up to 800 square feet. It is not intended for use as a primary heat source and should not be factored into residential heating calculations.

  • The unit is flexible — a 120V power supply cord is included for standard plug-in use, but it can also be hardwired as either 120V or 240V. For any hardwired installation, both 120V and 240V configurations require a 15-amp, 60Hz circuit; a dedicated circuit is not required but is preferred to prevent circuit breaker trips. All electrical connections for hardwired setups must be performed by a qualified electrician in compliance with local codes and NFPA 70.

  • The SimpliFire 30-inch Built-In Electric Fireplace includes four flame intensity levels powered by high-efficiency LED technology rated for over 100,000 hours of operation — so bulbs never need replacing. It comes standard with a multifunction remote control that provides thermostat, lighting, and on/off control, and also supports a built-in timer settable from 30 minutes up to 9 hours in 1-hour increments. The fireplace can also be operated manually from the front panel and runs with or without heat, making it a year-round ambiance option.

  • The SimpliFire SF-BI30-EB comes with a 2-year manufacturer's limited warranty, but it only applies to units purchased through a SimpliFire authorized dealer or distributor. The warranty excludes normal wear-and-tear items such as paint, batteries, and glass discoloration, as well as damage caused by improper installation, misuse, or exposure to moisture, condensation, or corrosive atmospheres. SimpliFire's warranty obligation also does not extend to the fireplace's capability to heat any specific space.
