  • No — the VRE4300 is a vent-free (ventless) design, so it requires no chimney or special venting whatsoever, making it significantly easier and less expensive to install than a vented model. It is designed for outdoor applications only — such as patios, screened porches, and lanais — and should not be used indoors.

  • The VRE4300 36-inch is available in both a natural gas version (model VRE4336) and a propane version, and the natural gas model can also be converted to propane using an NG to LP conversion kit (sold separately). Buyers should confirm which fuel type they need before ordering, as the two configurations are sold as distinct units.

  • The VRE4300 is backed by Innovative Hearth Products' (IHP) 20-Year Limited Warranty on the product body and firebox, covering defects in materials and workmanship from the date of installation. Other components not specifically listed under the 20-year coverage carry a 90-day warranty, and IHP commits to providing replacement parts for up to 10 years from the last date of manufacture.
