Frequently Asked Questions

  • The Real Fyre Evening Fyre 24-Inch See-Through Vent-Free Gas Log Set provides up to 39,000 BTUs of heat output. It operates with over 99% fuel efficiency, meaning virtually all heat stays in the room rather than escaping through a chimney. The included remote control allows you to adjust between high and low flame settings for personalized comfort.

  • Important: the G-18 burner insert itself does not work without a log set — the log set is required and sold separately. When purchasing the complete Evening Fyre 24-Inch See-Through package, it includes the G-18 Vent-Free Gas Burner, Custom Grate, Connector Kit, Glowing Embers, Bryte Coals, Lava Granules, Wood Chunks, Decorative Heat Shield, Remote Control Kit, and User's Manual. Be sure to select the matching log set based on the 24-inch burner size.

  • This set is designed to be installed in solid fuel-burning masonry fireplaces, UL-127 factory-built fireplaces certified for vent-free logs, and listed ventless firebox enclosures. It cannot be installed in a type-B vent (natural vent) gas fireplace, a direct vent gas fireplace, or any gas or wood-burning stove. Always check local building codes before purchasing, as some areas restrict vent-free appliances.

  • Yes — the set features an Oxygen Depletion Sensor (ODS) that monitors ambient oxygen levels and automatically shuts the burner off before oxygen drops below 18%, making it safe for indoor use. It is ANSI certified (ANSI Z21.11.2) and professional installation is required for all vent-free products. The use of a carbon monoxide detector is also recommended, and the burner and ODS pilot should be professionally cleaned at least once per year.

  • Real Fyre offers a tiered warranty on this set: the ceramic refractory gas logs are covered by a lifetime warranty for as long as you own them, and the vent-free burner components (excluding valves, ODS pilots, and controls) are warranted for 10 years. All valves, pilots, and controls are covered by a 1-year limited warranty (excluding batteries). Professional installation is required to maintain warranty coverage.
