Both natural gas and propane models are available to suit your fuel source.

  • The Napoleon Altitude™ X 42 requires a minimum framing width of 42.75 inches, a framing height of 46.63 inches, and a framing depth of 19 inches. The unit itself measures 42.25 inches wide, 45.44 inches tall, and 18.63 inches deep, with a generous viewing area of 42.25 x 36.13 inches. Always refer to the official installation manual, as finishing accessories may alter these framing requirements.

  • Yes, but only with the optional Heat Management system. Napoleon's Heat Management allows you to install your television, art, and electronics closer to your fireplace by redirecting heat away from directly above the firebox. The optional LHAD, DHC, or UHM heat management systems reduce clearances to combustibles and lower the required clearance to mantels and TVs, making media-wall installations safe and practical.

  • The Altitude™ X 42 comes with an electronic ignition system and is operated via the included Proflame II remote control or the Napoleon eFIRE Remote App, which uses Bluetooth technology to give you full control from your mobile device. The included heat-circulating blower features variable speed and thermostatic control, allowing you to set and maintain your preferred comfort level. The unit can also be pre-wired for a wall switch as an alternative control method.

  • The Napoleon Altitude™ X 42 is backed by Napoleon's President's Limited Lifetime Warranty, which covers the combustion chamber, heat exchanger, stainless/steel burner, logs and embers, ceramic glass, and porcelain-enameled components for as long as you own the appliance. During the first 10 years, Napoleon will replace or repair defective covered parts free of charge; from 10 years to life, replacement parts are provided at 50% of the current retail price. Electrical components such as blowers, gas valves, ignitors, and remote controls are covered free of charge during the first year.
