DIY installation instructions are included with the unit.

  • Yes — because the CLX 2 is an electric, vent-free unit, it stays cool to the touch and the heat vent is positioned at the bottom of the unit rather than the top, making it TV-friendly. The bottom-mounted heat vent was specifically designed to allow safe TV installation above the fireplace. One retailer notes you can safely mount a TV as close as 12 inches above the unit.

  • The CLX 2 60" features LED flames that transition from orange to blue with the push of a button, and it ships with two interchangeable media options: premium fire coal and contemporary glacier crystal glass. Control is handled via a built-in hi-tech touch screen on the unit itself and an included sleek remote control, which also lets you adjust nine unique backlighting color options independently from the flame.

  • Modern Flames warrants the CLX 2 60" to be free from manufacturing and material defects for two (2) years from the date of purchase, during which parts will be supplied or the product replaced at no charge. Labor is covered for one (1) year from the date of purchase, and a valid proof of purchase is required to make a warranty claim. Note that the warranty does not cover consumable items like bulbs and fuses, nor damage from incorrect installation.
