  • Two ignition systems are available: the Match Lit Ignition, which requires no electricity and simply needs a lighter to operate, and the All-Weather Electronic Ignition System (AWEIS), which uses a 24V AC transformer and automatically shuts off gas during a leak and relights flames if blown out by wind. A special-order battery-operated electronic ignition is also available for those who prefer not to run electrical wiring outdoors.

  • No maintenance is required — the outer iron oxide finish naturally matures and darkens a few shades over time before becoming a permanent color, and the inner bowl features a high-temperature-resistant coating with a 1.5-inch rain drain to prevent water accumulation. Importantly, you should never tarp the fire pit, as the tarp can blacken the patina and stop the oxidation process.

  • All fire pit components (excluding gas components) are warranted for 10 years from the date of purchase by the original owner, with proof of purchase required. The HPC Match Lit stainless steel burner also comes with its own lifetime warranty, while the spark screen mesh is guaranteed for 60 days against failure and its framework for 10 years.

  • Fire Pit Art explicitly states this fire pit is not meant to be placed on flammable or combustible surfaces such as wooden decks; a limestone base accessory is available to protect the surface below.
