  • The Empire Carol Rose Vent-Free Outdoor Linear Gas Fireplace is available in two widths: 48 inches and 60 inches. The 48-inch model features a 55,000 BTU burner, while the 60-inch model steps up to a 65,000 BTU burner for larger outdoor spaces.

  • No — because it is a vent-free (unvented) design, it does not require a chimney or flue. It only needs to be recessed into your outdoor structure and connected to a gas line, making installation significantly simpler than a traditional vented fireplace.

  • The fireplace is available in both Natural Gas and Liquid Propane configurations at the time of purchase. If you buy the propane version and later want natural gas, it can be converted using the Empire Comfort Systems conversion kit #33814.

  • Crushed glass is sold separately and is required to complete the installation — it must be placed over the LED lighting to properly cover the burner pan. The 48-inch model needs approximately 8 sq. ft. of Clear Frost crushed glass, and additional optional glass drops, droplets, or accent colors can be added to customize the look.

  • All Empire Carol Rose outdoor products carry a 5-year limited warranty. More specifically, the combustion chamber and heat exchanger are covered by a Limited Lifetime Parts Warranty with a Five-Year Limited Labor Warranty, and the warranty applies to the original purchaser only and is non-transferable.
