Frequently Asked Questions

  • This heater uses 240V AC current and must be hard-wired by a licensed electrician — it cannot simply be plugged in. It is compatible with 208V, 240V, or 277V AC current depending on the version you purchase. Be sure to consult a licensed electrician to confirm suitability for your specific setup before installation.

  • The 56-inch 6000W model outputs 6,000 Watts (approximately 20,500 BTU) of radiant heat and is rated to heat areas up to 160 square feet. It uses a spectral reflector to distribute that heat evenly across the targeted zone. For larger spaces, multiple units are often recommended, and Bromic offers a free technical design service to help determine the right number and layout.

  • The heater comes with adjustable mounting brackets that support both wall and ceiling mounting, and the brackets allow up to 90 degrees of directional adjustment for custom spot heating. A flush ceiling (recessed) mount is not included — it requires a separately purchased Ceiling Recess Kit. Optional bi-directional mounting poles ranging from 9 to 41 inches are also available for more flexible positioning.

  • The base unit without additional accessories operates in an all-on or all-off mode. However, since the 6000W model features two separate heating elements, those elements can be controlled independently to adjust overall output. For full dimming capability, the separately sold Bromic Affinity Smart-Heat Dimmer Control (available in 1-channel or 2-channel configurations) is required and sold as an optional accessory.

  • Bromic warrants the heater to the original purchaser to be free from defects in materials or workmanship for one (1) year from the date of purchase. Notably, the Tungsten Electric heating element itself carries a separate lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Warranty coverage applies only to the original owner and requires purchase from an authorized retailer.
