  • This heater must be installed by a licensed and authorized technician in accordance with local building codes — DIY installation is not permitted. Attempting installation without a licensed professional will void the manufacturer's warranty.

  • Yes, the Platinum Smart-Heat 22-inch heater is available in both natural gas and liquid propane (LP) configurations, so you can choose the fuel source that fits your setup. However, the gas version is on/off only — it cannot be dimmed; if variable heat output control is needed, Bromic recommends their electric heater models instead.

  • The heater ships with a wall-mount bracket included; ceiling pole mounts are available as optional add-on accessories. A heat deflector is also sold separately and is strongly recommended if the clearance above the heater is less than approximately 43 inches (1,100mm), or if the installation is exposed to the elements.

  • Yes — despite being a gas heater, it uses an electric ignition and therefore requires an electrical supply connection. It can also be connected to smart home and building automation systems provided the system is fitted with an RS232 port, using Bromic's optional On/Off Controller and Smart-Heat Link RS232 plugin.
